Delaware Valley Archaeology & History Symposium, December 7, 2019

Join us for a day of history at the Delaware Valley Archaeology & History Symposium sponsored by the Delaware Dicvision of Historical & Cultural Affairs, in partnership with the Archaeological Society of Delaware and the New Castle Historical Society. The event includes scholarly presentations on history and archaeology of the lower Delaware Valley including discussions of Avery's Rest and Fort Casimir. The symposium is free and open to the public. Saturday, December 7, 9:30 am to 3:30 pm at The Arsenal, 30 Market St, New Castle.

A Dickens Experience, December 13 & 14, 2019

Join us for a weekend of events inspired by Charles Dickens classic A Christmas Carol on December 13 and 14. Events include our popular Fezziwig's Ball on Friday night, performance of A Christmas Carol on Saturday, costumed characters walking about town, Victorian Teas at The Arsenal, and appearances by Father Christmas throughout the day!

Museums Open for Tours
The Amstel House & Dutch House are open for walk-in daily tours Wednesday through Sunday and reserved group visits seven days a week. Tickets can now be purchased at the New Castle Visitor Center at The Arsenal at 30 Market Street, New Castle, DE 19720.
