The New Castle Historical Society is pleased to receive gifts to support its work of preserving and interpreting the history of New Castle. The generosity of our members and friends has allowed us to expand our horizons, our collections and our impact on the community. Since the Society is a non-profit organization, your contributions are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.

Accession Fund - In early 2003, the Society was able to purchase at auction Van Dyke family furniture items, returning them to the Amstel House after many years' absence. Members and friends contributed generously on short notice for this purchase, but further contributions are required to cover the total cost. The Accession Fund allows the Society to respond quickly when unique opportunities present themselves.

Sponsorships - There are often special needs of the Society that can be addressed by one-time gifts. Members have recently restored the 1805 Latrobe Survey, paid for the cleaning and restoration of the Mary Brinckle painting, and commissioned new finials for a clock in the collection.

There's always a project to adopt; just call the Executive Director for ideas.

Special Gifts - Need something for that person who has everything? Make a gift to the New Castle Historical Society in his or her honor (or sponsor a project...see above).

Or take out a gift membership for a gift that keeps on giving.

Memorials - Remember a friend, a neighbor, or a family member by establishing The New Castle Historial Society as a recipient of memorial contributions.

Estate Plans - Including the New Castle Historical Society in your will and estate planning is an ideal way to create a legacy to be enjoyed by future generations. Please contact the Executive Director if you are considering including the Society in your estate plans.

Items for the Collection - Before you clean out the attic, check to see if those old letters from Aunt Mabel might interest the Society. Photographs and documents relating to the history of New Castle are of special interest. Talk with the Curator about any other artifacts you may wish to donate to see if they fit within the scope of the Society's collections.
